Structured Sober Living
Structured Sober Living
At Divinity Recovery, Inc., we offer structured sober living environments for those fresh out of inpatient rehab who may need some extra guidance before returning to their everyday life.
What is Structured Sober Living and How Does it Work?
While structured sober living sounds a lot like sober living, there are some key differences. They generally abide by a rigorous schedule for every resident, and the residents will hold each other accountable for this. Some examples of this schedule include attending 12-step meetings, weekly groups, therapy sessions, and submitting to drug tests. In addition to the set schedule, this environment provides residents with a sense of community, and helps build healthy friendships. Structured sober living allows residents with the chance to build a life they are proud of. The goal of structured sober living is to help the resident succeed in their path to recovery and to become adjusted to living a normal daily life. Aftercare, like structured sober living provides residents with the accountability most of them need to live a healthy, sober life. It helps the resident stay focused on their recovery.
Benefits of Structured Sober Living
While detox and inpatient rehab are important, what happens after that initial treatment is oftentimes crucial to total recovery. It is often not realistic to think that after initial treatment for drugs and alcohol, that an individual can just go right back into day-to-day life. An aftercare program like structured sober living is so important to total recovery. As previously mentioned, there are set rules a resident must abide by to remain living there. There are curfews, cleaning standards, meeting attendances, and much more that a resident will have to abide by in order to stay at a structured sober living facility.
Divinity Recovery has licensed staff and fully state of the art facilities for structured sober living. We have decades of experience between our on-staff providers and therapists. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care for every resident.
